After two weeks without competing due to the postponement of the matches against Gran Tarajal and Unión Puerto, UD Lanzarote visited Panadería Pulido San Mateo on Saturday afternoon. The Rojillos lost by the minimum against the team from Gran Canaria, in a match that was unbalanced in favor of the locals in the first minutes of the second half, after the referee decreed a very dubious penalty.
The state of the playing field was going to mark the development of the match. The rain that did not stop falling throughout the afternoon flooded the grass of the Municipal de San Mateo, making it impossible to play the ball low and causing the players to commit countless errors throughout the match. In addition, the cold and fog were present.
The first two clear chances were for UD Lanzarote. In the 3rd minute, goalkeeper Toba left a dead ball that was picked up by Rosmen and the forward sent the ball wide of the three posts. And just two minutes later, Rosmen combed a ball into the area, with a defender clearing under the posts. Panadería Pulido San Mateo sent a ball to the base of the post through Raúl Sosa.
In the 4th minute of the second half came the play that decided the match in favor of the locals. Miguel Gopar took a clean ball in the presence of a rival player who fell inside the area, with the referee signaling the maximum penalty when he had allowed the play to continue for a few seconds. Felipe was in charge of executing the maximum penalty and beating Alejandro.

After the goal conceded, UD Lanzarote did not have enough reaction capacity and the match became bad due to the conditions of the playing field. A second half in which Josu Uribe looked for solutions with the changes he made, but they did not have the desired effects.
With the score of 1 to 0, the match came to an end, with UD Lanzarote adding a new defeat that leaves them in a complicated situation in the standings. Next Sunday they will face Villa de Santa Brígida, a match that will be played on Sunday at 12:00 hours at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.
