UD Lanzarote began this week the pre-season with some pending tweaks to complete the squad.
The technical secretariat of the club was working on the search for a goalkeeper to share the goal with Alejandro Martín. Finally, the chosen one is Salva Ribera, a young goalkeeper with very good conditions and a great future ahead.
Salvador Ribera Palacios, born on August 20, 1999 and with 1.86 meters of height, is one of the young promises of Valencian football, having played in the regional selections of his community during the last seasons.
Formed in the lower categories of Villarreal, La Vall and Levante, he moved in juvenile age for study reasons to Madrid and ended up in the ranks of Getafe CF. After his passage through the quarry of the Madrid team he was signed by Villarreal CF, betting to transfer him to the youth team of Kelme, before landing in the 2016/2017 season in CD Roda de Castellón. Last season he moved to England, forming part of the training teams of Crystal Palace in London.
Salva Ribera will occupy one of the under-23 chips available to the first team of UD Lanzarote, with the technical secretariat opting for a goalkeeper who meets excellent conditions and has a great projection despite his age. The player will move to the island of Lanzarote on Thursday morning, and in the afternoon he will join the training sessions, putting himself under the orders of Maxi Barrera.
With the arrival of Salva Ribera, UD Lanzarote closes the preparation of its squad for the 2018/2019 season, counting to date with all the elements that the technical secretariat of the club has required. The rojillos have incorporated ten new players for the coming campaign, joining the arrival of Salva Ribera to the signings of Alex Yunes, Pedro Viera, Fran Gil, Juanma Pérez, Nico González, Javi Playa, Javi Morales, Jordi Martín and Alberto Escudero.
