UD Lanzarote traveled to the island of Tenerife on Wednesday to make up the postponed match of the third round against CD Tenerife "B". The blue and white subsidiary dominated the match and had more of the ball in their possession, but the clearest chances were for UD Lanzarote, finally adding their second consecutive draw.
From the beginning of the match, CD Tenerife "B" took control of the game, although this did not translate into depth and opportunities for the team led by "Mazinho". The first great offensive action of the match was by UD Lanzarote, coming from the boots of Keita, who made a shot from the edge of the area that was repelled by goalkeeper Martín.
After the first half hour, Keita himself tried again with a shot that did not find the three posts, then Gonzalo Di Renzo won the game against the two rival central defenders, but his shot was excessively crossed. The first part ended with a corner kick executed by Cedenilla and Keita's header went just wide. The rojillo team had had less possession of the ball but had generated much more danger than the blue and white subsidiary.
The second half continued with the same tone and UD Lanzarote had a new opportunity. Gonzalo Di Renzo took advantage of a bad pass from one of the defenders, stood alone in front of the goalkeeper, but the ball made a strange move at the last moment and he could not comfortably define his shot.
Tenerife "B" tried to generate danger through the wings, without being able to specify their crosses to the area. In the 68th minute, Keita gave way to the arrival of Rodrigo and the Brazilian's shot from inside the area found the glove of goalkeeper Martín, who avoided the goal.
Until the end of the match, UD Lanzarote defended with order, not having excessive problems and adding a point that places them in seventh place in the standings. Next Sunday, the rojillos will receive the visit of Arucas CF with the aim of making good the two draws achieved against the two subsidiary teams of the category.
