The Sports Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote highlights the victory of the Taz Lanzarote martial arts club in the Canary Islands Grappling Gi Championship, held last Saturday, July 20, in the Arrecife Sports City. This hybrid sport combines different modern and traditional styles of wrestling and martial arts.
The Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón, has praised the work of the team, highlighting that the victory of Taz Lanzarote in this competition, since "it not only reflects the skill and performance of this discipline, but also puts our local athletes at a high level."
Monzón also points out the importance of the event, which brought together highly talented fighters from all the islands, where Taz Lanzarote stood out by taking first place, with Taz Jinámar taking second place and ATR Team Caraballo third.
The Taz Lanzarote club continues to demonstrate commitment to grappling, a sport that requires dedication, discipline and sacrifice. The island's Cabildo congratulates all the team members who participated in the championship, as well as the organization and arbitration.
