With the collaboration of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and the organization of Atlantis Academy, an optimist class clinic is being held these days in the bay of Arrecife, bringing together almost 35 sailors from different parts of the international geography. An event that young promises of light sailing take advantage of to continue improving their skills on board the boats, and learning that will surely serve them in future competitions.
Simone Ricci, Marco Gradoni and Alberto Morales are the instructors of the optimist class clinic that takes place in Arrecife and whose main venue is the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. Simone Ricci is the coach of the latest world optimist champions and Marco Gradoni has three world optimist titles to his name, and is currently the director of the Italian team for the Youth America's Cup. And Alberto Morales from Lanzarote has demonstrated a great projection in sailing worldwide in recent seasons.
The clinic has the participation of about 35 sailors, highlighting the presence of sailors from Austria, Germany, Portugal, Norway or Tajikistan, among others, and also the participation of sailors who have traveled from different parts of the national geography. With long days of training, participants learn different techniques to continue improving their skills on board the small boats.
The heads of Atlantis Academy highlight the excellent weather conditions that have been found in Lanzarote in these last days of December, being an ideal area to train in the middle of winter. The monitors also highlight all the facilities that have been found by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife to develop each of the training days, becoming an ideal place for future collaborations.
Next Thursday, January 2, a new clinic will begin at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, which this time will take place in the optimist and ILCA classes. A new opportunity to continue acquiring new knowledge from great coaches.
