The Isla de los Volcanes Rally continues to prepare for the great motor racing event, as a result of which, more and more international names are appearing who will be at the Lanzarote event. After the announcement of the Frenchman Eric Camilli and the Norwegian Henning Solberg, the name of the Mexican driver Benito Guerra is added.
However, the Lanzarote event still does not have an official date as it is waiting for the Cabildo to resolve the files to obtain the relevant permits.
The driver, who this year has competed in World Rallye Car 2, has a long history at the wheel, having won the Mexican National Championship twice and won the PWRC in 2012 aboard a Mitshubishi Lancer Evo X. In addition, he has several participations in various events, both in Spain, as well as at European and world level.
Benito Guerra will have as co-driver his usual in the right-hand seat, the Spaniard Daniel Cué. His vehicle will be a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, prepared and assisted by the Race-Seven team, with which he has competed this year in World Championship events such as Portugal or Croatia, among others. His objective is already set for 2023, where he hopes to fight for the WRC2 title.
Benito Guerra and Daniel Cué also plan to participate in the last round of the S-CER, the Villa de Adeje Rally in Tenerife.
