The handball season has come to an end, although fans of this sport remain active. Many players are participating in the second edition of the San José Obrero Colors Tournament. A friendly competition that takes place every Monday and Tuesday at the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion.

For the second consecutive year, the San José Obrero Handball Club is organizing the innovative colors tournament. A tournament that began to take shape on the night of the 24-hour tournament, the day on which the draw of players was held and the competition calendar began to be drawn up.

In the second edition of the Colors Tournament, 8 teams are participating and have been divided into two groups of four teams each. In group A are the White, Violet, Green and Blue teams, and in group B the Orange, Black, Red and Yellow compete. Given the success of the first edition, the organizers have had to increase the number of participating teams and the colors Yellow and Violet have been incorporated.

The scoring system of the matches is one of the great attractions of the Colors Tournament. This year the main novelty is the creation of the figure of the president, who will contribute more or less points depending on their age, and the president must be on the court at all times during the match of their team. There are also changes in the awarding of points. If the goalkeeper makes a save on a shot from the opposing team, the shooting team is awarded a point for the almost certain shot.

The II Colors Tournament began on May 31 and during the days that have been held, many spectators have come to the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion. The matches are always held in the Titerroy Pavilion, on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 8:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. A tournament that will conclude on June 21, and later celebrate the II San José Obrero End of Season Meeting, in which the Colors Tournament trophies will be awarded.

At the end of the first day, the White team leads the Group A standings, ahead of the Violet, Green and Blue teams. In group B, the leader is the Red team, with Black in second place, Orange in third and the Yellow team closing the standings. The competition resumes next Monday, June 13, with a new day starting at 8:15 p.m. in the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion.
