Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen suffered another defeat this Saturday at the Municipal Pavilion of Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) in their visit to Balonmano Ikasa Boadilla (28-19) in a match corresponding to the twelfth matchday of the Women's División de Honor Oro.

Fifth consecutive defeat for the Tiñoso squad, which forces them to continue inhabiting the last place in the league standings with one win, one draw, and nine losses in eleven games played. They have one game less than the second-to-last team, Mislata, and the third-to-last team, Carballal, both teams with six points. Boadilla is third with seventeen points.
The Tiñoso team did not start well, but they managed to recover during the first half, even taking the lead before halftime, which they reached with a tie on the scoreboard (12-11). In the second half, the grayer side of the Tiñoso team emerged, a situation that the Madrid team took advantage of to finish the game.

Dely Leiva once again became the top scorer for the Lanzarote team with five goals. Ariadma Molina scored nine goals for Ikasa Boadilla, the most effective in the offensive aspect of the matchFor the Tiñoso coach, Jesús Casanova, "it was a game with two very different halves. We started the game quite well, playing 7 against 6 without a goalkeeper. It's true that at the beginning we struggled, conceding three goals, some of them from direct shots by the opposing team, but, little by little, we settled in and I think in the first half we played quite well, creating clear scoring opportunities. It's true that we missed chances and that hurt us at halftime, where we went in one goal down, but with good, very good feelings. In the second half, we fell back into the problems we've been suffering from all year, turnovers, many missed shots from six meters, defensive weakness, we lack assertiveness, we lack strength behind, and that's costing us goal after goal, goal after goal, goal after goal, and in the end, we reached the score difference we see. I don't think that score is fair, yes to Ikasa's victory, but I think it should have been a little closer because, especially in the first 30 minutes, we played a very good game," Casanova concludes.

Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen will return to competition on January 17, at 6:00 PM, at the Municipal de Tías, with the visit of Soliss Bm. Pozuelo de Calatrava, a team that leads the standings with twenty points and a record of nine wins, two draws, and only one loss. This week they defeated AD Carballal (38-27).
