CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen is on the verge of starting the preseason and is closing the team to compete with guarantees next season in the Guerreras Iberdrola League.
The renewal of Keyla Hernández with the Tías team is added to those of Famara Fernández, Rosa Álvarez, Atteneri Morales, Beatriz Betancort, Mary Sánchez, Neus Llorens and the sisters Lucía and Cristina Betancort and the signings of the Argentine Cati Benedetti, the Chilean Antonella Piantini and the French of Bosnian origin Sladjana Topic.
For the yellow technical director, Miguel Ángel Lemes, Keyla will contribute a lot to the team, “she is a young, explosive player who last year gave us a plus, especially at the defensive level. She has already played in this category and this year should be a personal challenge to have more minutes than she had in Elche. She is very hardworking, with a lot of intensity in her actions and very vertical, she likes to go to the clash and never shrinks. That confidence is always positive. And although she needs to improve tactical aspects, I think she will have a good season.”
Keyla Hernández lives in a wonderful cloud since she knew that she would play this year in the Guerreras Iberdrola League, “it is a dream that we all had and we are going to fight for it”. Keyla will play with CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen her “second year in the Division of Honor and with more enthusiasm than ever. In this category there is more level and rhythm of the ball, everything is very fast and continuous, more strength and speed. We are already suffering Toño Cedrés but he will help us a lot because one of the big differences is the strength between Plata and Division of Honor. During the pandemic we have trained in our houses, also with some video calls to make it more bearable and now some running and a lot of gym. Soon we will start working together, all motivated, more than working as a team. I really want to touch the ball, the gym is already getting a bit heavy for me. The winger is clear that “the signings are going to contribute many things that will help us a lot. At my house they are very excited, very happy and eager to see the show that every weekend there will be in Tías and to enjoy it.”
