UD Lanzarote struggled to take the three points that were at stake against UD Telde, trapping their rival throughout the match and the tendenses defending with order. The goals came in the second half. Natanael put UD Lanzarote ahead, Agustín equalized from a penalty and Javi Betancort scored the winning goal. The locals wasted a penalty with the 1-0, with Rosmen wasting the opportunity to put the second goal on the scoreboard.
In the first half there was only one team on the field, with UD Lanzarote dominating from start to finish. The rojillos were the ones who had the most possession of the ball and the ones who approached the vicinity of the area defended by Víctor. Despite this dominance, UD Lanzarote was not able to specify the attacking actions and very few of them were finalized by the locals.
The first clear chance came in the 19th minute. Rosmen controlled a ball inside the area, turned and sent the ball over the crossbar. Before this action, the locals claimed a possible penalty on Quintero, being knocked down inside the area by the Telde goalkeeper.
UD Telde accumulated many players in the defensive line, which made their area an authentic wall, crashing most of the attacks of UD Lanzarote against it. The local team tried again in the 37th minute, with a shot from Kennedy from inside the area that goalkeeper Víctor took out next to the base of the post. The first part of the match came to an end with a goalless draw.
The second half started with two good chances for both teams. In the 50th minute, Quintero entered the area after taking advantage of a law of advantage applied by the referee, and his shot was lost over the crossbar. Three minutes later, the visitor Arrazola took advantage of an indecision of the UD Lanzarote centrals, faced the goalkeeper and Alejandro stopped it low.
UD Telde was committing many fouls in the vicinity of the area, and in most of them UD Lanzarote created a lot of danger. The locals could have increased the differences on the scoreboard in the 71st minute, when the referee whistled a penalty for a push inside the area. Rosmen took the penalty, sending the shot over the goal's crossbar. Immediately afterwards, Andrés was knocked down inside the area and the referee whistled the maximum penalty for Telde. Agustín did not fail to put the equalizer on the scoreboard.
The winning goal for UD Lanzarote came in the final minutes of the match and again in an action in which both teams were involved in the area. After a throw-in, the ball was left dead for Javi Betancort to finish inside the goal. A goal celebrated in style, given its importance for the locals.
In the final stretch of the match, two juvenile players made their debut with the first team of UD Lanzarote. Aithamy and Julyan, jumped onto the field to gain seconds on the clock and have participation with the first team. A final stretch, in which Rosmen crashed a ball into the crossbar and that could have been the sentence.
A lot of tension in the final minutes of the match, with UD Lanzarote defending to conquer the three points that were at stake. A victory that allows UD Lanzarote to continue climbing positions in the standings, placing them five points away from the play-off positions of the Third Division.
