FC Puerto del Carmen defeated UD Geneto del Teide in a match full of emotion and equality, where the Tenerife team had more ball possession, but the Lanzarote team took advantage of the expulsion suffered by the rival in the second half to put more intensity and achieve victory.
During the first 45 minutes, UD Geneto del Teide was in charge of keeping the ball and having a much higher percentage of possession than the locals, while they suffered many losses in the first half due to the rush to reach Paola's goal.
In the first half, both teams had interesting approaches, but Naza was attentive to prevent the rival from taking the lead on the scoreboard, while the Lanzarote team failed to hit the three posts to go ahead with an advantage.
It was in the last moments of the first half when the score would change, becoming favorable to Puerto del Carmen after Haimara managed to beat goalkeeper Paula from the penalty spot, with the teams going to halftime with a score of 1 to 0.
Jack Talbot tried to get his team to have more possession in the second half, but it seemed to be a replica of the first, where the mistakes of precipitation were repeated in the local team, while the visitors waited with the ball to get the tie.
5 minutes into the restart, UD Geneto del Teide achieved the equalizer through Ariadna. While 10 minutes later, Leslie managed to beat Naza again to put the score at 1 to 2. With the advantage on the scoreboard and possession of the ball on their side, everything seemed to indicate that the victory would go to Tenerife if Puerto del Carmen could not react.

In the 79th minute, Ariadna, who had scored the first goal for her team, saw the second yellow card after pushing a local player in the dispute for a ball, being sent off and leaving her team with a numerical disadvantage. It was then that the locals grew in intensity and began to put pressure on the rival to take the ball.
The local attacks were happening during that time and among the occasions that were generated came the equalizing goal with a rehearsed free kick that ended up being defined by Eva Sánchez in the 81st minute.
The victory seemed to be closer than the tie and much more at the moment when Nieves was one meter from the goal, and with the goalkeeper beaten, after a pass from Janet from the wing, but her shot went over the crossbar. Even so, FC Puerto del Carmen did not lose face in the match and believed more than ever in the comeback, as happened in the 93rd minute, when Janet culminated a counterattack launched by Nieves, which served to make it 3 to 2.
There was no time for more, the referee whistled the end of the match and the victory stayed in Tías territory. The next match of FC Puerto del Carmen will be on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. against CD Tarsa at the Municipal Stadium of Breña Alta, on the island of La Palma.
