CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife achieves its first point of the season

Despite the draw against Porriño, San José Obrero let victory slip away in the final minutes

CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife opened its points account in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola, after drawing 22 goals to 22 against Conservas Orbe Zendal Balonmano Porriño. A match where the San José Obrero women's team showed its character on the court, overcoming adversity and even dreaming of victory. The Lanzarote team let a two-goal lead slip away in the final minutes. 

CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife suffered its first setback in the 3rd minute. The home team had a few attacks to extend their lead and seal the match, but it was not to be.Argentinian Carolina Bono took the reins of her team's attack, and in an action with a passive threat and almost falling, she scored the equalizer. On the last attacking play by CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, the referees raised their arms too quickly to warn of a possible passive. And the last attack was for Porriño, with the home team defending the play well.

With the score at 22-22, the match ended, with CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife earning their first point of the season, but with a bittersweet taste due to the way the game had unfolded, letting victory slip away.
