Felipe Fernández Camero is bothered that it is known that his daughter and lawyer, Juana Fernández de las Heras, visited José Francisco Reyes in prison a few days before the former mayor of Yaiza decided to withdraw his confession, in which he admitted to receiving money from businessmen in exchange for the granting of illegal licenses. He is bothered that it is being investigated whether that visit, which had nothing to do with Reyes' defense in this process, since Juana Fernández de las Heras is not his lawyer in this case, could have had something to do with the former mayor's retraction.

Ignacio Díaz de Aguilar, also charged in the Reyes case, is offended that there is talk of his links with other defendants, or even that it is emphasized that Fernández Camero's son-in-law was his office partner. That is, the husband of Juana Fernández de las Heras, Ignacio Calatayud, who is currently an advisor to the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés.

Juan Francisco Rosa is "surprised" that he is asked who was the advisor to the Yaiza City Council on urban planning matters while he was receiving hotel licenses. And he remembers, according to his own statement in the Courts, that the administrative procedures in the judicial field regarding the Son Bou hotel were handled (oh, coincidence!) by Juana Fernández de las Heras, but "he did not know if Felipe Fernández Camero, the father of the former, was at that time an advisor to the Yaiza City Council".

In fact, what he does remember is that he has "never resorted" to his lawyer's father, that is, Felipe Fernández Camero, so that he would "mediate, influence or convince someone from the Yaiza City Council". And he is also surprised that he is asked why he thinks it only took three days to give him the license for the Princesa Yaiza hotel, because he understands that the City Council should answer that.

These are just some of the issues that are "surprising", bothering, irritating or even infuriating some of those charged in the case opened for the alleged plot for the massive granting of illegal licenses in Playa Blanca. And it is that one thing is to be charged with bribery offenses allegedly committed years ago, under the supposed impunity of the time, and quite another is to come and stir up the past and the present, and to draw a clear picture of who is who.

Unlike what happened in the "Unión" case, where the exchange of a briefcase was even caught "in flagrante", in this case, facts from more than ten years ago began to be investigated, with the added difficulty that this entails. For this reason, many more data and nuances become important. And above all, accumulations of coincidences that do not seem like such. And it is that what the defendants consider "conjectures and assumptions" of the prosecutor, are nothing more than descriptions of facts and links that should have made the whole island's hair stand on end a long time ago.

If not, why did Fernández Camero file an appeal to try to prevent his daughter's visit to José Francisco Reyes from being known? Why are they so bothered that the relationships they had and maintain with each other are put on paper? Apart from the alleged crimes that are imputed to each of them, the mere description of what has happened is already a reflection of indecency. But now, it seems that they do not want the impudence with which they have been moving to be known.

From an investigation that began five years ago as an authentic impossible mission, it was possible to reach a confession from José Francisco Reyes in October 2009, incriminating himself and giving details and names of several businessmen. And for this reason, it is important to know what happened so that a month later, he decided to retract. Because when the case goes to trial, it will have to be determined which of his two versions is given credence. And each and every one of the elements that make up the essence of this case will also have to be analyzed, which is not only in the granting of illegal licenses and the collection of bribes, but in the existence of an alleged organized plot for it.
