Reflection of personal miseries

In my psychology exams, I emphasized something that caught my attention; the projection of personal miseries onto children at home and in the educational environment. There are people who are unable to face their emotions and internal conflicts, pouring them onto their children or their students.

Those kinds of people; they only see flaws and criminalize a child for insignificant things. Teachers who are emotionally competent; in this way they can maintain an encouraging atmosphere in class. Emotions are a fundamental component of learning, a child with greater academic achievements is the one who developed their emotional skills earlier.

At school, children imitate our behaviors; we are a reference, our language when addressing them often reflects those miseries that have not been managed.

It is difficult and complicated not to influence, but let it be positively. It would be good to reflect on those professionals who only work for that salary, but vocation must prevail.

Children already come from their homes with endless problems and deficiencies; their panacea is to come to school, tell them no to everything, don't drink water, don't talk; don't go to the bathroom, don't move... there are many orders; and the opposite effect is achieved. Of course, you have to educate and set rules; but don't project your personal misfortunes and justify them with, "LET THEM LEARN".

Learn to leave your bad mood at home; your complaints, your bitterness, not everything is valid, we work with human beings, not with sacks loaded with potatoes. Our profession requires empathy, and a lot of objectivity, parents put their children in our hands trusting that they are in the best ones. Would you like them to do that to your child? That your child's teacher uses him/her as a sparring partner for their frustrations.

It is a profession that carries a lot of responsibility and sacrifice, our magic wand is called vocation. Observing our weaknesses is the beginning of overcoming them, as Toni Nadal says, "Everything can be trained, both attitude and aptitude." Of course, with 5 hours of fighting; according to Confucius something can be achieved, but more can be achieved with three words impregnated with affection.
