Bisbal's silence

March 6 2019 (16:04 WET)

Today Carnival says goodbye in Arrecife with the burial of the sardine. We have to cry for a while and burn the bad things, waiting for Don Carnal to leave for Teguise.

And speaking of the bad, how much we need to end the opacity practiced by the Government of our Municipality!

First I denounced the concealment for almost a year of the sentence of the garbage contract ("Not like that, Oswaldo" I titled it), and last Sunday I revealed another one that condemns the City Council to return almost 800,000 euros for the annulment of a license in years of non-compliance with urban regulations.

Perhaps they thought that the neighbors and parties could wait until after May, another example of a bad policy more typical of times past.

And if that were not enough, seventy-two hours after revealing the return of almost 800,000 euros, the still mayor has not clarified anything. It will be due to bad luck, bureaucracy or lack of time, but the many questions to be answered await:

Why was the sentence not appealed?

How much are the legal interests to be paid?

And the condemnation of costs?

Will it affect the 2019 budgets?

The planned investments?

Is the compensation of credits possible?

Will we get more surprises?

Continue in the strategy of silence that the people of Teguise will soon speak. It will break with that silence so great, so empty and so dead that Bisbal sang, which the mayor and his group exert. Because they do not remain silent before the opposition, but before the neighbors, as he already did, by the way, with the suspension of the classes of the Music School of Teguise, an issue in which every day that passes without informing despairs more to the hundreds of those affected.

Continue giving reasons for the change in Teguise.

While it arrives, I will go to the burial of the sardine so that the opacity passes to a better life in our Municipality, so that one of my commitments for the new time that will come in May will be illuminated: transparency.

And get ready the mask that the Carnivals in Teguise will soon begin. Before, we have March 8 and the Octava Isla Challenge, almost nothing.
