The Emergency Consortium has initiated the contracting of the repair and maintenance service for lifebuoys and their accessories, as well as their supply and installation along the entire coast of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
With a maximum total budget of 77,040 euros, the Cabildo points out that "the tender will allow the service to be contracted for a period of two years, extendable for another two".
For the president of the Consortium, Marcos Bergaz, “the entity continues to normalize the contracting of the main services and supplies, with a priority of having the lifebuoys in perfect condition, which are essential to act in the event of an emergency and be able to save the lives of people who have some mishap on our coasts”. In this sense, it should be remembered that "this tender is in addition to the recent ones for the regularization of fuel supply contracts, workshops or travel agencies,” continues Bergaz.
“From the Consortium, we encourage all interested companies to submit their offers, which we convey to the public for their knowledge and to facilitate this information of interest,” says the president of the entity.
“Along the coast of Lanzarote and La Graciosa we have more than 200 points with their respective lifebuoys, which too often require repair, either due to losses as a result of their use, or due to the action of 'friends of others' that force a constant rehabilitation of the rings, information plates, lifelines and supports,” adds Bergaz.
Open procedure
The contest, processed by the open procedure, will allow interested parties to submit their offers until next November 30, after the start of the tender was published this Tuesday in the entity's contracting profile.
