Public Works of the Cabildo announces the awarding of the work that will improve and transform Avenida Canarias, in the southern town of Playa Blanca.
“This intervention will improve one of the busiest roads on the island, as it leads to the port of the southern town, and is also a historical demand of the island's citizens,” said the vice president, who thanked the Yaiza City Council “for its cooperation and coordination in order to initiate the procedures for this work.
Likewise, the vice president explains that action will be taken on the islets at the intersection with Archipiélago, Canarias and Avenida Faro Pechiguera Avenues and along the edges of the sidewalks, repairing the curbs in poor condition, as will be done on the sidewalk adjacent to the Atlantic Park since they are in great disrepair.
For this intervention, the Public Works area allocates a total amount of 1,156,091.25 euros, financed 80% through the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN). The company in charge of carrying out the work will be Lanzagrava S.L, who will have 6 months to execute it from the beginning of the works. This work is part of the program 'Improvement of roads of insular and regional interest'.
“We continue to carry out works that improve the quality of life of the island's residents, and execute our plan to rebuild the island's economy through public works,” Medina concluded.
