Vanitatis has echoed a dinner offered this Tuesday by the Cabildo of Lanzarote in a restaurant in Madrid. In a report on the dismissal of the journalist Irma Soriano, the magazine says that this woman is now "much more animated" and that, she even enjoyed a dinner at the El Rincón de Goya restaurant, organized by the first island institution on the occasion of the start of Fitur.
In the photograph that accompanies this report, you can see the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, and the Minister of Tourism, Ástrid Pérez, together with journalists such as Irma Soriano or Nieves Herrero. Thus, Vanitatis assures in its news that the journalists attended invited by "the public relations Alejandro Morales" to a dinner organized by the Cabildo. The mayor of Arrecife, Cándido Reguera, also attended this event.
The Cabildo sent a press release this Wednesday about this "meeting", although without reference to the dinner, under the title: "Lanzarote is promoted in the programs with the highest audience on national television". In this same statement, they assured that "journalists as well-known as Nieves Herrero, Irma Soriano, Paloma Barrientos, Beatriz Cortázar, Rosa Villacastín or Pilar García Múñiz were interested during a meeting with the president of the Cabildo and the Minister of Tourism in the future of tourism in general and the island of volcanoes in particular".
Instead of dinner in a Madrid restaurant, the press release spoke of a "meeting with different representatives of the national press, in order to close promotion agreements through which Lanzarote will undoubtedly be the tourist destination that will be most talked about in the coming days in the programs with the highest audience on national television".
