The Tías City Council has announced the first edition of the contest to award the 8 best projects of young entrepreneurs who promote a business project located in the municipality of Tías. A jury will choose the 8 best initiatives that will receive a prize of 3,000 euros each.

The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Commerce, Jerónimo Robayna, explained that this initiative promoted by his Council will "incentivize and help the creation of new projects that boost and commit to the creation of companies, products or services" that are installed in the municipality of Tías.

The Department of Commerce of Tías has already published the rules that must be met by all individuals, under 35 years of age, who currently develop or intend to settle in the municipality of Tías, and aspire to achieve one of the 8 prizes of 3,000 euros each. All interested persons may receive more information at the Department of Commerce of the Tías City Council, where they can register. The proposals, which must be accompanied by an explanatory report of the project, must be submitted before October 8.

Together with this report, and certificates of being up to date with the Tax Agency and the General Treasury of Social Security, for those projects that are already underway, those interested must submit a report to state that this business initiative meets conditions of technical, economic, financial and commercial viability.

The jury will announce the winners on October 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the Consistorial House of the Tías City Council.
