The Tías City Council published in its notice board on March 14 the announcement and list of documentation requirements for social emergency aid to students based in the municipality of Tías. Those who applied for scholarships should consult this announcement to review the possible lack of required documentation and submit it before March 28 (inclusive).
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Education, Miriam Hernández, emphasize the importance of "providing support to those who face economic barriers to pursue their studies." According to Hernández, "we strive to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to access the academic or professional training they desire."
As in previous years, both the social and economic situation of the family and the academic excellence of the student are valued. The minimum amount to be received by university students who are studying outside the island amounts to 1,000 euros. Aid is also granted for university studies in Lanzarote, for the study of training cycles outside the island and for those enrolled in non-face-to-face education. These aids are compatible with other scholarships.
