The Tías City Council distributes more than 114,000 euros in aid to students of the municipality

Of the total number of students from Tías who have received the grant, 176 have obtained the maximum amount, stipulated at 575 euros, which corresponds to university studies outside the Island, and another 16 have received 425 euros for studying higher modules, also outside Lanzarote. The twelve university students who are studying in Lanzarote have received a grant of 325 euros and the ten who are taking higher modules on the Island have benefited from 225 euros.

The majority of the municipality's students are enrolled in the Canary Islands universities, with La Laguna surpassing Las Palmas, although there are also young people developing their studies in faculties and university schools in the Peninsula, mainly in Granada and Madrid. Likewise, technical careers are the most requested, but there are also students of Law, Teaching and Business, among a wide range of specialties.

The Mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, has highlighted the City Council's commitment to the university students of the municipality and has referred to this aid "as an important investment for the future, because the training of these young people will benefit the municipality".
