The Tías City Council has awarded the new contract for the surveillance and lifeguard service on the municipality's beaches for an amount of 1,613,855.92 euros (including IGIC), with a duration of two years and the possibility of extension. The awarded company has been Zuma Servicios Socorrismo SL.

The mayor, José Juan Cruz, highlighted that it is a "more modern and innovative" service, designed to provide an effective response to the needs of an eminently tourist municipality. The new contract includes three jet skis and an ATV, resources that will significantly improve response capabilities and reduce response times to any incident. For his part, the Councilor for Beaches, Christopher Notario, has emphasized that the contracting procedure "has been rigorous and very thorough, with the aim of offering a maximum quality service to both citizens and those who visit us." In this regard, he has pointed out that "this new surveillance model represents a before and after in the safety of Lanzarote's beaches."Among the main service improvements, the extension of operating hours during high season also stands out, which will cover the months of June, July, August, September, and October, with daily coverage from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, thus reinforcing security during the months with the highest influx

With this award, the Tías City Council takes a step forward in modernizing public services and reaffirms its commitment to the municipality's safety, prevention, and tourism quality.
