The rehabilitation work of the Haría Viewpoint continues to advance, with the installation of the structures of the two walkways. With this, the City Council affirms that it is "getting closer and closer to the objective of recovering these facilities and completing the necessary actions for a historical monument for the population and visitors of the northern municipality."

The mayoress of Haría, Chaxiraxi Niz, highlights the importance of the Haría Viewpoint "for the municipality, for its tourist attraction, for its natural landscape and for the environment of the northern area of Lanzarote" and affirms that the works are expected to be completed and that the Viewpoint will be ready for the enjoyment of the population "next June."

For his part, the councilor responsible for the Technical Office, Víctor Robayna, emphasizes that, "after years of waiting, Haría will finally have a monument again that pays tribute to the artist César Manrique and that will contribute to reactivating the City Council's commitment to reinforce a sustainable tourism model that is currently being developed."

"With the new walkways, we continue to take steps towards the complete renovation of a space that will help raise environmental awareness among the population and publicize the natural and landscape wealth that the municipality of Haría boasts," says the mayor.

The project of the work corresponds to the architect Miguel Ángel Fontes Figuera and was awarded for an amount of 221,160.17 euros, from the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. This is the second time that the City Council has put this project out to tender, since the previous contract ended with the abandonment of the work by the contractor.
