The rescue and emergency service in Lanzarote (Emerlan) left this Thursday from the port of Arrecife to Valencia with a van loaded with solidarity. Among the products sent, more than 100 kilos of artisanal cheeses sent by a cheese factory on the island and by the Aqual Association were sent, in support of the Valencia firefighters.
The shipments include 2,500 kilograms of products of first necessity, destined to people affected in a situation of vulnerability due to the passage of the DANA in Valencia.
In addition, Emerlan volunteers have also traveled days ago to the autonomous community to offer their help. This project is the result of collaboration between the Nazaret Sociocultural Center, the Youth Area of the Arrecife City Council, the Social Welfare and Inclusion Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and Inclusion of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the Rubicón Cheese Factory.
Meanwhile, the logistics and transfer of volunteers and materials have been possible thanks to the support of the Cabildo.
Emerlan has added that "the solidarity of Lanzarote is present and shows, once again, its commitment to those who need it most. Thank you to each person, organization and family that has made this help possible!"
