The Municipal Picnic Area of San Bartolomé, located in the vicinity of the Casa Mayor Guerra, will open its doors to the public starting on August 15.
This new recreation area is equipped for barbecues, bathing, tables and seats with shade in a garden area, where a bowling alley has also been installed. The Consistory hopes that the Municipal Picnic Area will become "a meeting point for the citizens of San Bartolomé."
The mayor, Isidro Pérez, was pleased that San Bartolomé “now has magnificent facilities that will allow all the citizens of the municipality to enjoy their family events in a beautiful natural and architectural environment such as the area surrounding the Casa Mayor Guerra.”
As a whole, the Municipal Picnic Area of San Bartolomé and the Tourist Recreational Area of the Casa Mayor Guerra are intended for social development events and strictly family events, not open to public attendance to guarantee the enjoyment and tranquility of all residents. Those interested can use it any day of the year from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“It is everyone's responsibility to make proper use and maintain the facilities correctly so that we can all enjoy them”, recalls the Councilor for Citizen Participation and Tourism, Mamadou Yero Sy Cisse.
