The island secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote and national deputy, María Dolores Corujo, has expressed her satisfaction and that of the entire organization at Pedro Sánchez's decision to continue in his position "with more strength than ever" and his commitment to the essential democratic regeneration.

Corujo has valued Sánchez's period of reflection as necessary, since "the President's decision to consider with his family whether it was worth continuing appeals not only to progressive people, but also to those who understand, from any political position, that lies and infamy have no place in public life and that the permanent attempt by the extreme right and the extreme right to turn politics into an unbearable quagmire must be stopped."

"Today, the progressive people of this country are in luck. The decision of our secretary general and president goes far beyond remaining in the responsibility of the Presidency of the Government of Spain, as it constitutes a challenge and a  enough is enough  against those who dreamed of overthrowing a democratic government with dark judicial maneuvers, protected by pseudo-journalism", Corujo stated.

"The latest attack, for now, against our colleague Begoña Gómez, the wife of our president, represents a turning point that should lead us to think about measures to prevent these events from happening again because not everything is valid in politics and being a victim of slander and infamy is not included in the position, as those who benefit from the mud machine maintain", Corujo concluded.
