The PSOE of Teguise, upon reaching the symbolic figure of 100 days since the beginning of the mandate, has assessed the work of the municipal government formed by the Canary Coalition (CC), Popular Party (PP) and Vox. Thus, they consider these first months "disappointing", where "the lack of leadership, absence of program and outstanding actions have been the predominant note", according to the socialist leader Marcos Bergaz.
"We did not expect major changes in the way the current government manages, with the Canary Coalition again in the mayor's office, despite the loss of four councilors and 1,186 fewer votes, but we did expect some more action from the tripartite, which unfortunately has not occurred," says Bergaz.
"A simple look at the inconsequential issues brought to the plenary by the government or the string of decrees issued from the mayor's office that lack relevance attest to these first 100 days without major developments," confirm the socialists.
"They have not even fulfilled the minimum duties that the socialist group, as the majority party in the municipality, put to the government shortly after the new Corporation was formed, such as making their government program known or approving the new budgets, since they are operating with the extended budget of 2022," indicates Bergaz.
"If we add to that erroneous decisions such as the suppression of the delegated councilorship for La Graciosa, the 'farce' of the formalization of the tripartite government or the concealment of new judicial pronouncements, we cannot say that this government has started off on the right foot in the present mandate."
"Denounce those issues that the current government insists on silencing or fails to resolve"
"For our part, during these 100 days we have continued our constructive opposition, with new positive initiatives; but also showing ourselves firm in the denunciation of those issues that the current government insists on silencing or fails to resolve", concludes the socialist spokesperson.
