The PSOE abandons the Titerroy working commission and criticizes the "shameful spectacle that Astrid Perez and the PP are putting on", after the decision by the mayor of Arrecife to delegate "the management of the rehabilitation of the Titerroy homes to councilor Leticia Padilla without her consent", who immediately "revoked her appointment", according to reports from LEP.

The PSOE points out that they put themselves "in the shoes of the families evicted from Titerroy" and feel "real shame" because "Arrecife has a mayor, Astrid Pérez, a housing councilor, Eduardo Placeres, an army of PP officials, and they must give a quick and forceful response to the residents".

The PSOE describes the mayor's actions as "Astrid's show" and highlights that it has "allowed them to see" several things, apart from the case of Leticia Padilla, in "the last month and a half", such as "PP advisors intimidating the families of those affected in regrettable meetings, Astrid Pérez announcing a hunger strike, the creation of a working commission in the plenary session of September 30, which has been paralyzed for 26 days, or Jacobo Medina putting on a show in the Cabildo of Lanzarote with a motion against the opinion of the affected families".

"The Mayor of Arrecife's show on such a delicate matter stinks, and our political party is not going to be complicit in this mockery of the residents," says the socialist spokesperson in Arrecife, Cristina Duque.

The PSOE announces that their party "will support, with responsibility, as it cannot be otherwise, the solution to a problem that is unnecessarily prolonged over time." They also add that "they will not participate in spectacles that embarrass everyone" and remind that "there are 350 thousand euros in the Government of the Canary Islands waiting for someone to manage it responsibly, so that the residents can find the answer to their problems".
