The representatives of the PSC-ALDEM group, José Pérez Dorta and Alejandro Perdomo, consider that "the neglect" of the mayor José Torres Stinga is "closely linked to his performance as provisional president of Coalición Canaria." Thus, they understand that this new work has led the mayor to worry more about "electoral alliances of his party than to attend to the needs of the municipality." For the socialists of Haría, it is essential that the mayor "exercise his functions as the highest local authority one hundred percent" and demand that he not "avoid his obligations."
The PSC-ALDEM group cites as an example "the lack of interest" that, in their opinion, the nationalist government group of Haría has shown in supporting Inalsa so that the public water company becomes the successful bidder in the wind power tender called by the Government of the Canary Islands. According to the socialists, the proposal is "viable and would bring significant economic benefits," both to the public company and to the City Council of Haría.
Specifically, the northern councilors cite an increase in the municipal coffers of up to "200,000 euros per year," as a result of the distribution of income from the company among its members. "Haría could benefit from an important and necessary item that would solve some problems of the municipality," argue from the PSC. In addition, they recall that Haría, along with the rest of the municipalities of the Island, is a partner of Inalsa.
The socialist representatives understand that the plenary of the Institution must express itself as soon as possible in this regard and therefore request the mayor that "in compliance with his obligations as mayor" convene the plenary debate as soon as possible in order to know the position of the City Council.
