The Local Police of Arrecife announces that, from this Monday until the Epiphany, it has launched “a special device with an extraordinary service”, which will consist of “reinforcing the shifts of the agents”.
The City Council points out that this reinforcement will be especially “where the main Christmas attractions are installed”, and will establish specific devices “for some of the central events of the program”. This is done in order to “cover the necessary services to attend the events that will take place in the municipality around Christmas, without neglecting the needs of the daily service.”
“These are measures framed in coordination with other security forces to guarantee the safety of residents and visitors”, explained the mayor, Astrid Pérez.
In this regard, the Councilor for the Local Police, Jacobo Lemes, highlighted the importance of this device “at a time of year when the concentration of the population in certain areas of the city multiplies”, and took the opportunity to “call for prudence and to continue complying with health regulations against Covid-19”.
From the Consistory they detail that the device will be intensified especially “in places with the highest concentration of people, shopping centers, the downtown area and spaces with a high concentration of events and people”.
Likewise, the Local Police of Arrecif makes a call “to citizen collaboration and to raise awareness among consumers and businesses of the need to create a safe environment.”
