The Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands has made public the environmental assessment of the Provisional Municipal Ordinance for the construction of the future Health Center in Playa Honda, in the municipality of San Bartolomé.
"In accordance with article 30.2 of Law 21/2013, of December 9, on environmental assessment, it resolves to submit to consultations with the affected public administrations and interested parties for a period of 45 working days," it states. The document published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands indicates that the documentation of the file can be consulted at this link.
As will be recalled, in July 2022, the Governing Council accepted the delegation from the San Bartolomé City Council of the competence for the simplified strategic assessment of the municipal provisional ordinance for the construction of the health center, and now, five months later, it is being put out for public consultation.
Characteristics of the Health Center
The Health Center will have a plot of 1,917 square meters, located on Fayna Street, behind the Playa Honda Civic Center, and with an investment of close to 7 million euros. The building will have a basement, first and second floors.
The ground floor will house the administrative area, the pediatrics area, the physiotherapy area, the emergency room, and the ordinary care rooms. On the other hand, the upper floor will have an area for family medicine, the women's area, and the growth area, while the basement will have a storage and parking area.
