The Lanzarote Safety and Emergency Consortium (CSEL) and the Zonzamas Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP) have renewed their collaboration agreement for the sixth consecutive year, which allows students of the higher-level training cycle in Emergency Coordination and Civil Protection to carry out internships in a professional environment linked to their field of study.
This agreement provides students with the opportunity to complete their training at the Consortium, participating in key projects for safety and emergency management in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. In particular, students will collaborate in the "Review and Update of the Areas of Significant Potential Flood Risk", carrying out both office and field work to collect and verify essential data in the improvement of the Lanzarote Island Emergency Plan (PEIN).
The president of the Consortium, Francisco J. Aparicio, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, emphasizing its double impact: "This agreement not only offers students a training experience of great value, but also reinforces our work in the identification and prevention of risks on the Island. Their contribution is key to improving planning and response capacity in the face of possible emergencies."
For his part, the head of the Security and Environment Department of CIFP Zonzamas, Fernando Pablos, pointed out that this agreement represents "a great opportunity for students." "Facilitating learning in a real environment is essential for their professional development. The experience they acquire at the Consortium not only prepares them for the world of work, but also makes them key players in the safety of the Island."
This initiative "strengthens the relationship between both institutions and values practical training as an essential tool for labor insertion in a fundamental sector such as security and emergencies".
With this renewal, the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium "reaffirms its commitment to the education and training of new professionals who, in the future, will contribute to the protection and security of Lanzarote and La Graciosa".
