After ten months, since the previous Corporation inaugurated the Municipal Sports Hall, this Wednesday, February 5, the Arrecife City Council has signed the acceptance certificate of the Argana Alta facilities after unlocking the debt incurred with the construction company.

"Once the municipal budgets are approved after the elections, the debt will be paid", explained the Councilor for Urban Planning, Antonio Hernández, who has once again made public his differences with the mayor, Enrique Pérez Parrilla, by stating that said budgets could have been approved in November because "they were already ready" and that he does not explain why they were not approved at the time.

The opening of the facilities now depends on the awarding to one of the three companies that have presented their projects for the management and maintenance of the Sports Hall. For its part, "the technical office has already carried out the assessment report of the three proposals but it still has to be accepted by the Procurement Table, which will meet next week", explained the Councilor for Sports, Fayna Álamo. Subsequently, the matter will be transferred to the plenary session, where it will be definitively awarded. "We hope that the facilities will be open within a month," said Álamo.

The socio-cultural center of Argana Alta, which is integrated within the building, "can also be used in the near future", according to Antonio Hernández.
