The City Council launches a tender for the cafeteria of the Playa Grande viewpoint in Puerto del Carmen

The contract will last for 10 years and establishes a minimum lease price of 4,822 euros per month

The Tías City Council has launched a public tender for the award of the operation of the premises located in the viewpoint of the Avenida de las Playas of Puerto del Carmen, in the Playa Grande area.

The government group, made up of PSOE, Lanzarote Avanza and Lanzarote en Pie-Sí Podemos-Equo, has highlighted the relevance of this enclave to boost the Avenida de las Playas. "It is great news for the municipality and it is a great opportunity for those entrepreneurs who want to participate in this public tender and achieve the award of the operation of the premises," said the mayor, José Juan Cruz.

"The Playa Grande viewpoint, located next to the playground, is a unique enclave on Avenida de las Playas to enjoy the coast of Puerto del Carmen at any time of the day. We are pleased that we can finally count on this offer from the services sector," added Cruz Saavedra.

 

A minimum lease of 4,822 euros per month


The premises located in the viewpoint of Avenida de las Playas has an area of 60 square meters and the valuation budget of the property amounts to 964,486.50 euros, so the lease price is 4,822.43 euros per month. 

The amount of the contract amounts to 578,691.90 euros and the lease price, with the minimum amount established at 4,822.43 euros per month, may be improved upwards.

According to the terms of the contract, the rent payment will be monthly and will be made before the fifth day of each month. The contract will last for ten years without any type of extension.

 

A period of 20 days to submit offers


Offers to the public tender must be submitted to the General Registry of the Tías City Council within a period of 20 days from the day following the publication of the tender announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas (BOP).

The City Council states that the proposals may also be sent by mail, in which case the bidder must justify the date of posting of the shipment at the Post Office and announce to the contracting body the sending of the offer by fax or telegram on the same day and, if it is the last day of the presentation of offers, before 2:00 p.m. 

Without the concurrence of both requirements, the proposal will not be admitted if it is received after the deadline indicated in the announcement. After 10 calendar days following receipt of the communication without having received the proposal, it will not be admitted, and the contracting table may proceed to open the envelopes effectively submitted on time, indicates the City Council.
