The Cabildo of Lanzarote has initiated the bidding process for the improvement works on the link between the LZ-3 and LZ-20 roads, which will be carried out with the aim of executing an additional lane on the direct north branch towards the Argana Industrial Zone and two other lanes on the south branch.
The project has a budget of 472,045.62 euros, fully financed by the Cabildo. The execution period of the actions will be six months from the award of the contract.
"With the works, it is intended to unblock the congestion of vehicles, during peak hours, in the branches of the aforementioned link. By providing one more lane to the access to the roundabout, the circulation capacity is doubled," says the Councilor for Public Works of the Cabildo, Alfredo Mendoza.
"The project aims to eliminate the accumulation of vehicles on the road of the LZ-3, both north and south. A direct lane will be made towards the General Hospital, Industrial Zone, neighborhoods of Argana and San Bartolomé," details the councilor.
Those interested can submit their proposals on the official website of the State Contracting Platform. The deadline for submitting offers ends on May 10.
