The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Area of Social Welfare and Inclusion, coordinated by Councilor Marci Acuña, has opened the deadline for submitting applications to the call for economic benefits for social emergencies aimed at guaranteeing the right to protection for families in vulnerable situations, as published today in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Las Palmas.
These grants aim to support residents of the island who are experiencing economic difficulties, offering support to cover basic needs such as the payment of rent, supplies, food, clothing, school needs, medicines, as well as certain technical aids, such as hearing aids, glasses or adaptations of homes, among others. The call, which has a budget of 408,060 euros, will remain open until November 15.
The Councilor for Social Welfare and Inclusion, Marci Acuña, highlights the importance of this call, emphasizing that "these grants represent a fundamental pillar to guarantee the well-being of the families of Lanzarote and La Graciosa who need it most. Our goal is that no person in a vulnerable situation is left without the necessary support to cover their basic needs and improve their quality of life."
Applications should be addressed to the Presidency of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and submitted preferably through the own registry of Benefits and Social Welfare or through the electronic headquarters of the institution.
