The Cabildo of Lanzarote continues to focus on improving the employability and training of unemployed people and, therefore, has launched a new Training Program in Alternation with Employment (PFAE), through which it will hire 20 people.
“We continue working to promote the labor insertion of unemployed people and contribute to reducing the high levels of unemployment in certain groups,” says the Minister of Employment of the first island corporation, Jorge Peñas.
In this regard, Peñas highlights the importance of the Training Programs in Alternation with Employment, “as they combine theoretical and practical training, allowing participating people to learn new skills and knowledge while they work.” “They are also an excellent way to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities,” adds the minister.
Under the name of “Maintenance and installation services for computer systems,” this Training Program in Alternation with Employment is financed by the Canarian Employment Service and by the Cabildo's own funds with a total cost of 373,407.96 euros.
Specifically, a total of 15 student workers will be offered the opportunity to obtain a professional certification while performing related tasks in a real work environment for a period of eleven and a half months. In addition, a management and teaching team composed of five professionals has been hired.
All those interested in applying for the student worker offer must be registered as job seekers in the SCE and have an ESO or equivalent level of education. In the selection process, which has just begun, priority will be given to people between the ages of 25 and 45, although other age ranges are not excluded.
