The request of the Arrecife City Council to modify the use of land, submitted to the capital's plenary session, has been approved with the votes in favor of the Government Group and with the abstention of all the opposition parties. With this ratification, the land ceded by the Island Corporation to the Capital Consistory, located in the El Rompimiento area, could change its use from sports to sports health to house the new Argana Health Center.

"The change of use has to be done by the City Council, but the Corporation is asked to carry out the transfer again for both uses", Luis Arráez assured in the face of the doubts generated among the opposition groups. According to the Government Group, this transfer must be carried out again to launch the project to create the Argana Health Center, since it currently only contemplates the provision of sports facilities.

The members of the opposition have decided to abstain on this point of the agenda for various reasons. María José Docal has argued her vote assuring that the members of her party "are not clear about it". For his part, Pedro Hernández has stated that "the use of the land is foreseen in the revision of the General Plan of Arrecife, therefore, as long as the legality of the plan does not occur, the use of the land cannot be changed". The PSOE has also commented that the change will be conditioned by the processing of the General Plan of Arrecife, "although we understand that the facilities are necessary".
