The Auria Badminton Club, after competing a few weeks ago in the Promotion Phase to the First Bronze Division of the National Club League, is in luck, and next season its competition team will compete in the national category. The Lanzarote club will compete in the newly created Second Gold Division, a category that will be made up of twelve clubs and in which a total of four rounds will be played within the regular phase of the competition.
The Spanish Badminton Federation has published the Regulations of the National Club League for the 2025/2026 season. The main novelty is the creation of the Second Gold Division, which becomes the fifth national category, and an intermediate step between the First Bronze Division and the Second Territorial.
The new category will be made up of a maximum of 12 teams, in which the two teams that have been relegated this season from the First Bronze Division and the eight clubs that competed in the Promotion Phase of the Second Territorial will compete, including the Auria Badminton Club.
Regarding the competition system, the celebration of four concentrations is planned throughout the season and in which the eleven days of scheduled matches will be played. The first two classified in the competition will achieve promotion to the First Bronze Division, the last two classified will be relegated to the Second Territorial of the National Club League and those who occupy the tenth and ninth position must compete in the promotion phase against the teams of Second Territorial to maintain the category.
Competing in the Second Gold Division of the National Club League is great news for the members of the Auria Badminton Club, managing to make the leap to the national category and reinforce their commitment to continue growing sportingly. A category that will be the reflection for many of the young players who are trained in the lower categories of the club.
