The Arrecife City Council has been nominated for the third edition of the Canary Sports Management Awards in the section of Management of City Councils with more than 20,000 inhabitants. These are awards convened by the Canary Association of Sports Managers (ACAGEDE), an association created to compare and unite experiences, give and receive information and offer ideas for better sports management, without a doubt one of the main means of occupying leisure and free time of society and generating health.

These awards will be presented on February 15 at the Official Dinner of the III Awards for Sports Management in the Canary Islands, with the City Councils of Arrecife and La Laguna being the finalists in the category of management of city councils with more than 20,000 inhabitants.

Awards will also be given in the management of city councils with less than 6,000 inhabitants, management of city councils with between 6,000 and 20,000 inhabitants, supra-municipal institutions or the design and construction of sports facilities.

The jury will be made up of representatives of various Canary institutions or entities that are related to the world of sports, such as representatives of the Canary Universities, the dean of the Faculty of Sports Science and Physical Activity of the ULPGC, the presidents of the Association of Sports Journalists of Las Palmas and Tenerife, among others.
