The Teguise City Council has opened the new call for aptitude tests to obtain the Municipal Taxi Driver's Permit. The deadline to submit the necessary documentation ends on March 6, and the selective tests will be carried out on April 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Local Police facilities.
To obtain said permit, applicants must meet the following conditions established in the Taxi Regulations of the Municipality of Teguise, have a vehicle driving license of a class equal to or higher than that required by the DGT, and know the main public roads and places of tourist and cultural interest in the town, as well as the locations of public establishments, official centers, public offices, education centers and hospitals, and the most direct routes to reach the destinations.
They must also know the General Traffic Regulations, the National Regulations for Urban and Interurban Transport Services in light cars, the Taxi Regulations of the Municipality of Teguise and the applicable rates in this. And finally, they could not suffer from infectious-contagious diseases, nor any physical defect that makes it impossible for them to perform the service.
The tests will consist of answering a series of questions chosen by the Qualifying Tribunal, in a maximum time stipulated by said committee. And once the deadline for submitting applications has ended, the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants will be published through the notice board of this City Council and, where appropriate, on its website.
Likewise, the pertinent allegations may be made within a period of five calendar days from the day following the publication of the provisional list. Once the allegations have been resolved, the definitive list will be published.
Regarding the documentation required for the application for this call, it is the original regulatory or higher driving license, an Official Medical Certificate, two DNI format photographs, the duly completed application, the application for a Criminal Record Certificate, a Responsible declaration of not driving official vehicles, and the presentation of the original DNI or the document that replaces it in the case of applicants who are foreigners.
