The San Bartolomé City Council reinforces street cleaning and the maintenance of its public spaces with an investment of more than five million euros.
The San Bartolomé City Council approved in the plenary session of this Wednesday, January 28, the awarding of the contract for the Public, Road and Beach Cleaning Service, and Conservation and Maintenance of the Green Infrastructure of the municipality, which will improve the provision of these basic municipal services.
The contract, awarded to FCC Medioambiente S.A.U., will last five years and has a total amount of 5,282,487.75 euros, with an annual investment ranging between 880,414.62 euros in 2025 and 1,056,497.55 euros in the following years, until February 28, 2030.
The mayor of the municipality, Isidro Pérez, points out in this regard that "this contract guarantees a more efficient management of urban cleaning and the maintenance of public spaces, ensuring a better quality of life for the citizens of San Bartolomé and supporting services that result in the common welfare of the population, reinforcing essential public services."
In this line, the Councilor for Public Services, Roads, Transportation, Traffic and Environment, Raúl de León, emphasizes that this materializes the efforts of the current government team to improve the working conditions of the staff, reinforce the cleaning and care of the environment, in addition to promoting the creation and maintenance of new green spaces with which it is intended to minimize the impact of the carbon footprint in San Bartolomé."
