The Tías City Council has presented the two new charging points for electric vehicles installed on Avenida de las Playas, in the Los Pocillos area, and on Avenida Juan Carlos I in Puerto del Carmen. Two motorcycles and four electric bicycles were also presented.
The top representatives of the Tías City Council, governed by PSOE, Lanzarote Avanza (LAVA), and Lanzarote en Pie-Sí Podemos, highlight the path initiated towards "more sustainable, clean, and efficient" driving and mobility. The goal is to bring closer and make more accessible the possibility of charging electric vehicles in the municipality, where there is already a charging point on Avenida Central de Tías Alcalde Florencio Suárez.
The presented electric motorcycles are part of the resources of the Local Police of Tías, as are two of the electric bicycles. The other two electric bicycles will be used by other departments of the Tías City Council.

With these acquisitions, the City Council affirms that the conditions of the agreement signed in 2018 with the Ministry of Ecological Transition, which had not been executed, are completed.
This agreement, which had a nominated subsidy of 200,000 euros, also included the acquisition of an electric forklift destined for the Department of Roads and Works, two electric vehicles destined for the Department of Social Services, and a third electric vehicle destined for different departments.
