The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, spoke this Thursday afternoon at a press conference from the Socialist Party headquarters in Madrid after the resignation of Santos Cerdán as Secretary of Organization of the PSOE and his act as a deputy was announced.
"Although the disappointment is great, the response will always be forceful," said the Spanish Executive President. Sánchez assured that on Thursday morning he was able to learn about the report from the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard and asked Santos Cerdán to resign as socialist secretary and as PSOE deputy in Congress.
"It is not up to me to judge them, it is up to me to make decisions within the organization," he said about Cerdán's explanations, who has denied the facts.
"I have always believed in and worked for clean politics and fair play," said the Spanish president.
