“A total of 1,254 people, compared to 397 in the 2019 festivities, used the island buses to go to and return safely from the traditional Caleteras festivities,” said the Minister of Transport, Marcos Bergaz.

From the Cabildo they remind that during the last weekend a special bus service was enabled, to which was added the declaration of joint provision area of the taxi, “which allowed to reinforce the taxi service to meet the greater demand of users who came to enjoy the festivities in Famara”, points out the counselor.

"For the Cabildo, it is a satisfaction to see the good response that the citizens have had from the service, but even more to collaborate in a safe return from the festivities, as we are doing with the main popular festivals that are taking place on the island of Lanzarote,” continues Bergaz.

In the same way, the institution takes the opportunity to anticipate that, on the occasion of the Los Dolores festivities, the island's patron saint, sreinforcement measures are being planned to also attend the displacement to the Mancha Blanca hermitage.
