Más Canarias is committed to a great confluence of the left for the general elections on July 23 and resumes its work "to unite and unite" all parties of the green, progressive or left-wing spaces of the Canary Islands. The formation, which already tried before the municipal and regional elections, believes that it is a necessary step to guarantee the deputies that the islands can give to Parliament.
According to statements by the general coordinator of the party, Javier Navarro Lasso, “with the results of the regional elections in hand, it will not only be necessary to go together, but to obtain candidacies and projects that generate enthusiasm to avoid giving those seats to VOX.”
From the party, they also believe that we must "work against the clock to prevent any voter from staying at home." They believe that a solution for this could be "candidacies of people independent of any of the parties, so that everyone feels that they are common candidates." If that were not possible, they point out, they believe that, of course, "it is essential that the candidacy debate take place in the Canary Islands, not far from the islands where interests different from those of the archipelago may prevail."
“We need to learn from the mistakes of the past, we need unity, we need lists that excite and that the Canary Islands are counted on,” says Navarro Lasso. “The islands cannot afford what happened in the regional elections, we need unity, generosity and fraternity to achieve a space that adds up,” he concludes.
