Contigo Teguise + Unido denounces the hiring since last March 31 by Oswaldo Betancort of a new advisor, who is second on the list of Coalición Canaria to the Teguise City Council. All this, taking into account that "she will earn more than 41,000 euros gross per year from the municipality," they report. This is María del Mar Boronat Mas, Olivia Duque's number two and who has been appointed "Technical Coordinator of the Technical Office" shortly before the elections.

"With this shameful example, this person wanted to make it clear that she has understood the philosophy of Coalición Canaria and what she comes to public life for," they criticize. And it is that Boronat, "has not been long in coming, and six weeks before the elections she will occupy the aforementioned position, earning a public salary," they acknowledge.

"A new example of what the politics of Oswaldo Betancort and Olivia Duque have become after years of fooling the neighbors, since nobody believes that this woman does much more than the mayor's other advisor, Gladys Acuña," says Laureano Álvarez.

Álvarez recalls that "the municipality's Technical Office has had enormous problems in recent legislatures, being, without a doubt, ineffective." In addition, he emphasizes that "residents spend years waiting for licenses, reform permits are not processed, agreements with the Cabildo or the Government of the Canary Islands are not closed, among other beauties, which residents and investors of the municipality suffer daily," the candidate points out.

"It is evident that this office has needed good political direction for some time and, in addition, a reinforcement of qualified personnel," he adds, but "none of this has arrived" and, instead, what did arrive is "a new political favor from Olivia and Oswaldo such as the release of the number two on the party list," he makes clear.

"They do not use public funds to fix the needs of the municipality, but to fix their own lives"

"They do not use public funds to fix the needs of the municipality, but to fix their own lives," explains Álvarez. What is clear is that "with six weeks until the elections, including weekends, holidays and the electoral campaign, the best thing Boronat can do is collect her salary because there is no material time to get big projects out," he concludes.

In addition, it seems "an act of provocation by the party, that when it is not known what good she has done for the municipality, the convicted and friend Gladys Acuña, now another person appears who signs up for the spree of public money so suddenly," she denounces.

And as Laureano Álvarez explains, "while residents wait years for licenses and permits, Oswaldo has only remembered the technical office to plug in another from Coalición."
