Next Monday, July 26, the Teguise City Council and the Public Works area of the Cabildo will jointly begin an improvement action on the Avenida de Las Palmeras in Costa Teguise, which will consist of resurfacing in phases of this main road of the tourist-residential town and that will entail traffic cuts.

“First of all, I would like to ask the residents and users of this road in Costa Teguise to excuse the inconvenience caused by the resurfacing work that will be carried out, but they are necessary works to reform a priority road for the area and thus solve the problems presented by this section, in which work is also being done to improve signage and accessibility,” said Oswaldo Betancort, thanking the Minister of Public Works for the investment committed to the Teguise municipality project, valued at 350,000 euros obtained from the Canary Islands Development Funds (FDCAN).

“The cuts will begin this Monday and will be carried out in alternate directions as the works progress”, announced the Councilor of the Cabildo, Jacobo Medina, who visited the avenue with the Mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, where a few months ago the sidewalks were extended in the same section between La Isa street (Vitalclass) and Las Piteras street (Disa), in both directions.

The Department of Public Works of the Cabildo and the Department of Roads and Works of the City Council, directed by Eugenio Robayna, request road users to drive with caution, respecting the provisional signage and using alternative routes. For any incident or more information they may need, they can contact the telephone number 689 64 75 69.
