The members of the Assembly of the Popular Party of Yaiza ratified this Saturday their support for Juan Monzón by electing him as the new president of the Local Committee with 99% of the votes.
Monzón, who has been leading the local management for the last year and a half, thanked all his colleagues for the work done during this time and, especially, the tasks performed by the councilman in the City Council, Guayo Rodríguez, who assumes the local secretary.
"The last three years have been decisive for the PP of Yaiza because with the effort of all we have managed to rearm the committee, tripling the number of members and increasing our activity," said the new president for whom the most outstanding advance is undoubtedly the approach to the residents of the municipality. "We have gained in closeness with the neighbors who know and have verified that when they need us we are there giving our all."
"A serious work and close to the street that has made that with only two councilors in the city council", the Popular Party has become a "reference of the opposition in the municipality of Yaiza and a political project with the necessary strength to become a government party in the next municipal elections of 2023", said Juan Monzón.
"While the PP focuses on the needs of the neighbors, the municipal government group is dedicated to posturing and photos in the large works that other administrations tender, forgetting about the daily work and the real problems of the neighbors," denounced the local president.
"That knowledge and attachment to the municipal day to day", was pointed out by the island president of the PP, Astrid Pérez, as one of the keys to the excellent work that the team of Juan Monzón is doing, of which she said she felt very proud. Astrid Pérez also highlighted the great implementation that the Popular Party has achieved in the south of the island and predicted magnificent results for the political project of the PP in 2023.
