The former mayor of Yaiza and vice president of the PNL, José Francisco Reyes, was transferred on Sunday morning to the Arrecife Courts, to testify before the magistrate of Investigating Court Number 2 of Arrecife, who is investigating the case for the alleged plot for the granting of illegal licenses in Playa Blanca.

The judge extended this Saturday the detention of Reyes and his wife, who were arrested last Wednesday, along with three of their children. Although his wife, Antonia Torres, already testified on Saturday, the magistrate has not yet made a decision about her, pending the statement of the former mayor of Yaiza.

The three adult children of the marriage were released on charges, charged with an alleged crime of money laundering, and it is expected that this Sunday the magistrate will make a decision regarding Reyes and his wife.

The former mayor of Yaiza and current councilor of this City Council is charged with alleged crimes of bribery (bribes), embezzlement of funds, urban prevarication, influence peddling and money laundering.
